Welcome to my artworks

They have been created from my collections of salvaged materials, (old silks, especially) and plywood, overlaid with oil paint and/or acrylics and inks. This means their footprint on the planet is quite small, but hopefully their impact will be great, because I love colour, (teaching students how to use colour is my speciality), and I like adding gold, to suggest Russian icons. Another ethnic influence has been Africa, which is where one of my recent ancestors came from, according to a dentist…this was a surprise, but it explained my tropical palette!
